Well, I can't say it was an extremely exciting month, but it had its moments. Of course, I'm sure that could be said about any month. First let me talk a bit more about the page.
I realized after my first posting that I have not exactly put much about myself anywhere yet, especially not in the first entry. So shortly I will be putting up an About Me section to this page where I will have get to know me information on here. Not exactly something that people already know me will be much interested in, unless you want to check on favorite movie or song or something along those lines. I haven't fully decided what all I want to include in the line of information on this yet. But rest assures I will have it up sometime in January. I'm apologize for things coming along so slowly right now, I'm just busy in some aspects of my life. Although I do have the time to work on it more, I find some things that just slow me down.
I am currently working on a Christmas Page, which I am probably going to upload along with this entry, so I don't think I will speak much of it. Just go and visit it and be happy.
Now, about what has been happening to me all month.
Like I said, not much happened. Sometime mid month I had a nice little thing happen though. I was walking with my roommate Adam Hunt to his car cause we decided to go out to eat or something of that sort, and we also decided he should drive. Good thing we did, cause when we walked outside and looked in the direction of my car, we saw the passenger side door glass lying all over the ground. Some rocks were also lying nearby, and since nothing inside the car was touched, we just assumed that some kids broke it by accident. So, I called and had that fixed on Monday. Well, low and behold, I walked out to my car on my way to work on Tuesday, and there was an officer outside speaking with a woman. I looked off in the distance and noticed a car with the passenger side glass broken out. Then, the officer pointed something out to me... my driver side door window was broken and lying all over the ground. The day after I had gotten the first one fixed. This time though, they were actually looking for something, because the glove compartment was open and the back seat down to get into the trunk. I didn't notice anything stolen at the time though. I later found that something was stolen though. The change was all still there, the things hanging from my rear view mirror was still there, everything was still there, except for a little travel alarm clock that keep in my glove compartment to pull over for naps on long trips. And that would have come in handy later in the month too.
That would cover the second thing that happened to me this month, Thanksgiving. It was a great thanksgiving too. I went up to West Virginia to visit Valerie. Valerie is a good friend of mine that I have made during my time so far on the East Coast. She's great too. Funny. Smart. I very much enjoy spending time with her. So I go up there quite a bit to visit. So, this month I had Thanksgiving up there with her and her family. There was loads of food. Turkey, cranberries, mashed potatoes, seven-layer salad, deviled eggs, sweet potato pie.... and the list went on. I couldn't even get a little of everything on my plate. And man did I get stuffed. There were still leftovers when I headed back home on Sunday for me to take with me, if you want an idea of how much food there was. That and everyone was laughing and having a good time. We all went to her computer and saw some of the humorous things she has on her computer. Everyone was laughing. I love days like that.
Then Friday, we went out shopping. Didn't get much, I just drooled over a DVD player, but decided that I couldn't afford it because... well, I can't afford it. Lots of things coming up that I need money for. So, I just bought some essentials. Socks, t-shirts, that sort of stuff. We also walked down the Christmas isles and Val had a blast activating every noise-making toy on the isle at the same time. We found six of those sleeping, snoring Earnie's that were popular a couple of years ago, and she got those activated. When the started snoring, and their little bellies were going up and down, I could just picture a navy ship berthing compartment where they sleep three high. Also, she got quite a few of those stuffed animals that quack "We wish you a merry Christmas" going, and man did that sound bad. She was victorious in clearing that part of the isle though.
Saturday and Sunday were just fool around and play games and such days. It was all fun. My first four day weekend in a long time. Then on Sunday I had to drive back here, and found that some construction people are not the brightest. Who in their right mind would allow an Interstate to be bottlenecked down to one lane during a holiday weekend? I got stuck in a 22-mile traffic backup, and was stuck in that for about 3 hours. By the time I go home, I only had time to sleep for about an hour or two before I had to go back to work. Can't say I wasn't exhausted.
Those were the highlights of the past month. That and I am now attached to PSD in Charleston, but you will see more about that on my Navy section... whenever I finally get it up. Heh.
This coming month I am kind of dreading. My roommates are moving out mid-month, leaving the apartment to me. I don't expect to get new ones until probably late January if not in February sometime, leaving the entire apartment payment to me... as well as all the utilities. So, I may be hurting financially for a bit here for the next month or so. I'm thinking I'm going to get a second job when I get back home from Christmas with my family in Oregon. But we'll see what comes with that. Except for that, I have no idea what the future holds for me. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
